My Story
In addition to being a wife, mother, and grandmother, C. Diane Alvarez is a talented writer, illustrator, artist and educator. Her passion for storytelling and her love for her family have driven her to create two heartwarming books, Tumbleweed Christmas and The Missing Olive. Growing up, Diane was deeply influenced by her own childhood. These tales of love, hope, and resilience left a lasting impression on Diane, inspiring her to write her own stories. She wanted to capture the magic and warmth of her own childhood experiences, and share them with a wider audience. Tumbleweed Christmas is a beautiful story that centers around the importance of family and togetherness during the holiday season. The Missing Olive, another one of Diane's cherished tales, explores themes of friendship, perseverance, and forgiveness. Apart from her writing endeavors, Diane also works as an Assistant Principal at White Elementary. Her dedication to education is evident in her role, where she assists in creating a positive and nurturing learning environment for students. Diane's experiences in education undoubtedly lend authenticity and depth to her storytelling.
